For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
There has never been a person born, except for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who has never sinned. Just like the verse says, we have all sinned. We are born sinners. Unless we accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, we will die sinners. That's not a good thing.
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
The death that this verse is talking about is spiritual death. Spiritual death is being separated from God for eternity.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Before the first sin was ever committed, God had a plan to redeem us. Isn't that wonderful? His plan is available to anyone who will humble himself, call upon the name of Jesus Christ, and ask Him to cleanse him from all unrighteousness. For whoever believes and confesses Jesus as Lord and Savior will receive the free gift of salvation. Praise the Lord!
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Are you born again? Have you ever confessed Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior? Are you feeling a tug on your heart right now? If you are, then the Holy Spirit is convicting you of your need for Jesus in your life. Say this prayer and choose Jesus as Lord of your life.
Heavenly Father, I confess that I am a sinner and am in need of a Savior.
I confess that Jesus Christ is Your Son and that He died on the cross
so that my sin could be washed away. I confess and believe that
You raised Him from the dead after three days in the grave.
I confess and believe that He is now sitting at Your
right hand interceding for us right now. I ask You to fill me with
Your Holy Spirit so that He may direct me in all
of my ways. I ask You to open up Your Holy Scriptures
so that I can hide them in my heart in order to sin no more.
I thank You for loving me and calling me into Your Kingdom.
I set my heart to learn of Your ways forevermore.
